The sales floor closed four hours ago, but rooftop unit two is still running. The unit is running against its own schedule, so that shows as a violation; the energy layer puts a cost on it and it is raised with the evidence attached. By morning the schedule is corrected and synced back to the store controllers through the edge gateway. Multiply that across the estate and a quiet leak becomes a found saving.
